Climate Change in the Bering SeaProduced by Chris Linder and Lonny Lippsett for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution The cold, nutrient-rich waters of the Bering Sea support an incredibly productive ecosystem. As temperatures rise, how will the reduction in ice extent affect this delicately balanced ecosystem? I documented this expedition aboard the icebreaking ship Healy in April-May 2009 and collected the still photographs, video, and ambient sound for this feature. Interviews were conducted by Lonny Lippsett and Helen Fields and recorded by Tim Silva and Matt Barton at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution. |
