Eclipse in Greenland
August 1-16, 2026
Justin Black and Chris Linder / Visionary Wild
Have you ever dreamed of witnessing a total eclipse in the Arctic, with the sun and moon reaching totality just 24 degrees above the horizon? Even without the eclipse, this combination of Svalbard’s abundant arctic wildlife and Greenland’s sublime but remote and little-visited ice fjords hold a wealth of natural grandeur and photographic opportunities. Towers, arches, and walls of ancient blue ice thrust skyward from the water’s surface. Steep-walled fjords, dramatic coastal mountains, naturally-sculpted icebergs, and the vast Greenland Ice Sheet combine to form an incomparable landscape. Join us for this unique expedition, photographing the arctic wilderness in all its glory, with a total solar eclipse as just one of many highlights. With generous photographic instruction and attentive support along the way, explore the largest fjord system in the world – Scoresbysund, covering 14,700 square miles and penetrating over 200 miles into Greenland’s interior – aboard the very modern and luxurious Polar Class 6 expedition vessel M/V Hondius.

Jaguars of the Pantanal
September 15-24, 2026
Chris Linder / Visionary Wild
The Brazilian Pantanal, the world’s largest continental wetland, is a luxuriant forest-savannah-wetland mosaic in central-western Brazil that is home to the highest density of jaguars in the world. Jaguars are the largest cat in the Americas, and the Pantanal cats are the most massive anywhere in their range, commonly weighing between 300 and 350 pounds, the size of an African lioness. Here, we observe a range of jaguar behaviors, including active hunting, courtship and mating, mothers with cubs, swimming the river, young males hunting in coalition, and more. Peak action can include successful hunts of caiman and capybaras, males in a territorial battle, jaguars surveying the landscape from tree trunks leaning over the water, leaping off branches or high banks into the river, and other highlights. The rivers and channels provide easy access for our customized photo boat – a stable state-of-the-art aluminum speedboat with revolving centerline camera mounts, which Visionary Wild helped design – to locations frequented by the big cats in the dry season. In addition to the jaguars, it harbors the world’s largest parrots (the hyacinth macaw), the world’s largest snake (green anaconda), the world’s largest otter, and many other species.

Falkland Islands
December 4-20, 2026
Chris Linder / Visionary Wild
The Falkland Islands are one of the greatest wildlife meccas on Earth. Situated in the South Atlantic Ocean 300 miles east of the tip of South America, this archipelago of nearly 800 islands is home to four species of penguins (southern rockhopper, gentoo, Magellanic, and king), plus elegant black-browed albatrosses, imperial and rock cormorants, southern elephant seals and southern sea lions. This two-week photographic itinerary, led by renowned polar photographer Chris Linder, puts you right in the heart of the Falklands’ most remarkable locations, with ample time in each spot to ensure you get the best opportunities to capture your subjects in the perfect light. It is no hyperbole to say that the Falklands is an immersive wildlife experience like no other.
